Water parks

This swimming pool complex in Puerto de la Cruz was designed by the famous architect César Manrique, and offers many different swimming pools, but all of them are salt water. You will find pools for very young children, and others suitable for older children.

The volcanic character of the island, makes the coast of Tenerife is dotted with natural pools in which it is very comfortable to swim. You can go to one or the other depending on where you are staying, but it is a good plan for the youngest ones to bathe in peace and be able to snorkel.

In addition, at the beachfront you will find many services such as restaurants, toilets, showers, sunbeds and umbrellas, and access adapted for people with reduced mobility.

 

The Views

Las Vistas Beach is located in Arona, and has a gentle swell, clear sand and is surrounded by services and amenities. Restaurants, shops, water sports, etc.

You’ll recognize it by its artificial island and its great fountain.

 

Playa del Duque (Duke’s Beach)

The opening hours are from 8:30 to 18:45, if you want to see all the shows, you’d better get there early because there’s a lot to see.

 

Trails

Tenerife is an island full of trails, some of which cross ravines, others run through forests with a magical air. But, to travel with the family and with almost no difficulty, we propose that you visit the Trails of the Senses that start from the Cruz del Carmen in the Rural Park of Anaga, circular routes with little unevenness make these trails a great way to know a forest of Laurisilva.

 


Parque Nacional del Teide

Riding the Teide is a great experience for the little ones too. We recommend that you make the climb more enjoyable by stopping off at the El Portillo Visitors’ Centre, where you can receive more information about the park and enjoy an explanatory audiovisual presentation.

Teide is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, because of its geomorphological characteristics and its biological richness. The views of a volcanic landscape are surprising for all ages.

 

Forest Park

Forestal Park is located in Las Lagunetas, in La Esperanza, and is an adventure and zip line theme park. It’s a very fun experience, in which you travel through a forest from the treetops, you will face zip lines, games, hanging bridges, nets and much more.

The minimum age to participate is 5 years old.

 

Cueva del Viento (Cave of the Wind)

If your children are over 5 years old, they can discover the secrets of one of the largest volcanic tubes in the world, second only to those found in Hawaii. The Cueva del Viento is in the municipality of Icod de Los Vinos, and the visit to the cave is done with a guide who explains the characteristics of this tube and accompanies you throughout the tour.

Near this magical enclave, you can also visit the Drago Milenario and the Mariposario.

 

Municipal playgrounds

We also propose a list of Children’s Parks where you can enjoy swings, slides and other attractions open to the public.

 

El Montillo Natural Park, La Matanza

This park is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the play areas are made of sand. You will find slides, zip lines, walking areas, etc.

 

El Laurel Park, Puerto de la Cruz

Near the Botanical Garden, in the La Paz area of Puerto de la Cruz, there is an inclusive park with slides with different difficulties, small climbing walls, zip line and much more. In the surroundings you will find cafeterias and restaurants.

 

Trampoline Parks

In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the area of Añaza, you will find a park with trampolines, slides and balls that is very fun and has a very curious interior design. It is called Jumpo, Trampoline Park and it’s an absolute must, especially among children between the ages of 5 and 11.
